På svenska! 1 covers level A1 and A2 on the scale given in the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR ). It can also be used by students who choose the self-study route. Pronunciation and grammar are explained in English making learning more efficient. The Textbook contains 12 lessons with short stimulating dialogues and other texts. In the texts students follow a few Swedes on weekdays and holidays. Glimpses of different parts of Sweden are also given. Many lessons include a picture page, and a phrase page, to facilitate memorizing of words and phrases. Listening comprehension exercises accompany each lesson to give the student early practice in understanding the spoken language.The book contains texts, phrases, listening comprehension exercises and parts of the pronunciation section from the study book. The Exercise Book has additional exercises for grammar training. It also includes other exercises such as short essays, dialogues and crosswords. The Study Book contains 3 sections: 1. Pronunciation covering the basics of Swedish pronunciation and texts with phonetics notations. 2. Grammar with explanations and examples. 3. Vocabulary (alphabetical glossary and list of phrases).
